How You Hide Your Online Status On WhatsApp To Protect Your Privacy
WhatsApp which is normally allows all people to which you are connected or not see your online status. But it is easy to change in Whatsapp settings through which you can hide your WhatsApp online Status if you don't want other's to see when your are online on WhatsApp. Once you hide your online status on WhatsApp, so you also would not be able to see other's people online status.
When you are online it doesn't necessarily mean that someone seen your messages. It is simply means that you are currently using WhatsApp. "Last Seen" doesn't mean that somebody have seen your recently messages but it refer to that you used WhatsApp for last time. The only way through which you know that someone has seen your messages is the blue checkmarks beside the messages. But if you don't want your WhatsApp contact to know your "last seen" or online status, you can easily hide your online status through the App Settings. But here is the problem is that occur when you hide your own WhatsApp online status, you also can't view the other people status. You can easily hide your Online Status or appear offline on WhatsApp by following some easy steps. The messaging app gives you an option to hide the online status feature on both Android and iPhone.
To hide your WhatsApp online status, follow the steps below:
- Open WhatsApp on your Android or iPhone.
- Click on the three vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner.
- Click on Settings.
- In the Settings menu, select Account.
- In the Account page, find and select Privacy.
- Choose Last Seen from the list of options to change your online status.
- In this step, your have two option to hide your online or "Last Seen". You can choose for only "My Contact" To see your status or "Nobody" to see your status. This option depends on you. If you want nobody to see your status, choose "Nobody".
